All Air Force Academy alumni are invited to attend the U.S. Service Academy Career Networking Night, which will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2008 from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm at the Army Navy Country Club in Arlington, Virginia. While being sponsored by the West Point Society of D.C., this event is open to all U.S. Service Academy graduates.

Presentations:
Jim Carman – Will speak on three interview challenges: phone interviews, group interviews, and interviewing with a younger person. [Jim is a nationally recognized speaker and writer on career transition career topics. He is also a retired U.S. Navy Captain who served over 28 years on active duty, primarily as a pilot.]
Scott Raye, Defense Intelligence Agency -- Will talk about gaining employment with the Federal Government. [Scott is a Senior HR representative for DIA with many years of recruiting experience.]
Paula McKinley, General Dynamics – Will share her insights regarding gaining employment with Defense contractors. [Paula is the Director of Military Recruiting for General Dynamics Information Technology.]
Desi Wyatt, Smith Barney – Will talk to financial planning issues as one transitions from the military to the civilian work-world. [Desi is a West Pointer who works as a Financial Advisor.]

Questions and Answers: After all four speakers have presented, there will be a Q&A opportunity with the speaker panel.
Dress: The dress code for the Army Navy Country Club is coat and tie for men and equivalent business attire for women. Duty uniform is also acceptable.
Cost: There is a $20 charge, payable at the door (accompanying spouses can attend at no charge). This helps us defray the cost of the room, beverages, and light hors d'oeuvres.
Directions to Army Navy Country Club, Arlington: Take I-395 to Glebe Road North. At bottom of exit ramp, turn right onto 18th Street. Go about ½ mile and turn right onto 18th Street. Bear right. In about 4 blocks, you will enter the gates of the Army Navy Country Club. The event will be in the Fort Richardson Room.
